The 14th Hoi An – Japan cultural exchange and Hoi An Lantern Festival 2016 will be organized on August 13-16.
At the event, there will be many cultural activities including 13 years for Hoi An and Japan exchange and cooperation; exhibition of Buddhism’s cultural works; displaying art photo themed “Me” (Mother) by photographer Réhahn; opening a displaying zone of Hoi An style; fashion show “Hoi An style”. The combination aims to diversify service activities, introduce the traditional cultural beauty of Hoi An, attract tourists and local people. Japanese delegations participating in the exchange program come from Naha, Sakai and Nagasaki cities.
Besides, the program will also have other attractive activities, such as: the competition of handicraft carpentry skill; presenting and trying making Hoi An lanterns; displays of Hoi An – Japan handicraft products, Japanese anime and manga, Hoi An – Japan Bonsai; Hoi An – Japan art exchange; cuisine; Vietnamese folk games for children and Japanese folk games for children; sports activities.
The opening ceremony of the 14th Hoi An – Japan Cultural Exchange will take place on August 15 and the Hoi An Lantern Festival 2016 on August 16.
The program is annually organized in Hoi An to promote a coopering and exchange program between Viet Nam and Japan. Through that, the program will introduce traditional culture between two countries.
